Today’s Mental Moment is a bit of a chin scratcher.
St. Patrick’s Day is ..the day after TOMORROW! whoa…
Most of us think that St. Patrick;s Day is all about Leprachauns, Pinching and Green Beer.
Ok there is that but there is more to it. So In a moment….
is more like 3 but what’s another 2 minutes especially when you are leaning something AND playing with Legos?
That’s right folks leaning and playtime all rolled into one – you will wish it was more like 4 mins.
The chin scratching part, at least for me, is the references to the Pagan Religion and the Irish people begging to be saved…blah blah blah and …well
Everyone is entitled to their opinion … the IMPORTANT part of our moment today is that you leave with wee bit o knowledge about our good man St. Paddy.
I didn’t know half this stuff. And it’s only 3 mins. (OK! 2:53) so I feel good about providing a public service today so that you can drink your Green Beer on Saturday with a purpose AND you got to play with Legos ( don’t even try to tell me you think Legos are for Babies la la la la not listening!)
What? Yes I know green beer IS it’s own purpose…. Just watch the clip
Enjoy!
To Your Mental State, Whatever it may be
Lizzie Cracked (not broken) and feeling a wee bit smarter than I did 2:53 mins ago.
Who were those Lego actors? They were wonderful. Was that Le Pitt and Angolina Jolie? I don’t actually know how to spell her last name. Where is EG when you need him to google something? El Guapo, I need your google skills…
I know right> he popped in and out – didn’t eve watch the video yet.. I think you got it right tho 🙂
What do you need, Hobs?
I needed you to google how to spell Angelina Jolie’s last name. I’m not sure of the spelling, and since you are such a big boy with your google searching skills, I thought I’d let you do it for me.
Voight. But she goes by Jolie, which is actually her second name.
Which you spelled correctly.
Good job, Hobs. Have a gold star!
Thank you mighty Guapola!
(ok, I clicked like even though I haven’t watched it and have no idea when I’ll be able to watch it, but its a mental moment and not a veggie tale, so of course I’ll like it when I get a few minutes to watch it. )
(just sayin…)
it’s got legos… you will like it JMT…
Very interesting, once one filters the proselytizing out….I read a very interesting book on the history of Ireland from before the birth of JC to the end of the 19th century or so…it’s called The Princes of Ireland, and covers much of the political and cultural storms that have swept the island for centuries…. thanks for the reminder too…I was missing a day, somehow, thought today was the 14th all over again, & originally planned to have a laugh with you over being early….but the laugh is on me….have a great afternoon, evening, tomorrow, and life…. may as well cover all the bases….saves time later…. Blessed Be, sister…and never stop cracking wise….
I thought Sunday was St Paddy’s day (my daughter gets me straight) which would make today drum rolllllllll the 14th 🙂 See we were on the same page 🙂 I am going to have to look for that book .. I read WHen God was a Woman..which covers some of the Irish conversion… so I did get a chuckle out of the rhetoric but it;s all good. I didn;t knwo that St Patrick was not a canonized Saint…did I say that already… I like that he led the snakes away… THe other history moment was 8 mins, less coming of the lord but ten we are talking mental ….. vacuum possibly..,gotta get it fast 🙂 Blessed Be brother. 🙂
It’s all good… as to the snake thing, I always figured they left because of the climate, and the Irish preference for a good snake sandwich….
OH – do they like snake sandwiches? I didn; think that went too well with potatoes. huh. I am getting all sorts of smart today 😉
Well, that was what I heard, but it obviously wasn’t true AFTER the snakes left, eh?… 🙂
good point
And here I thought it was just all about the Irish and wearing green or you’ll get pinched!
me too! that;s why I just had to share… this will be the most meaningful St Paddy’s Day EVer. 🙂
Awesome PSA brought to me by LIzzieC and Lego! 😀
Always happy to do my part 🙂
I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. Great posts, keep ‘em coming!
thank you 🙂 I truly appreciate it!
I didn’t know you spoke Legos, and here I thought it was a dead language..Very well done, I liked it immensely.
Thank you. I am always happy to know that I have made a dfference 🙂
Wow, great stuff, lizziec!
Glad I waited until I had time to watch it!
Good thing he chased away the snakes. The Lego Indiana Jones (if that was indeed him) hates snakes.
ahhh good point! let’s have a toast with green beer of course to St Patrick!

Interesting demonstration/play about St. Paddy. It’s got legs. Badda Boom! I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not but I’m watching all the mental moments in succession! I’m hoping to register “semi-normal” once I’ve seen them all! 🙂
uh oh.. in succession? So more like a mental hour? lol you are a brave soul 🙂 I was actually more intrigued with your St. Patrick;s day story – even the legos don’t hold a candle to your interpretation…
Ah thanks Lizzie! 🙂
