Today’s Mental Moment …
Well first let me just say it’s Monday.
That being said, I forgot it was Daylight Savings yesterday and many of you, wait most of you, leapt forward, giving up a precious hour of your time.
Here where I am – in the middle of the United States, we don’t celebrate observe Daylight Savings and so while you are all getting the moment an hour later than usual, I am actually posting it the same time as I do normally – the majority of the time. When I am on time.
I can rightfully say the world revolves around me because you all had to adjust, and I didn’t but I am not uncaring or needing to keep it on my schedule for any reason so after today I will adjust accordingly so that your Mental Moment is not something else you have to adjust to… bad enough you lost an hour of sleep … I am thinking anyways. I didn’t. So I can’t really say, only assume.
Which brings me to today’s Mental Moment (again)
the problem with assuming…especially assuming that someone who is different, should not be welcome. I must say I have hardly run into any of this type of behavior here on WordPress with all the wonderful people I have had the pleasure of crossing blogs with….and that has been a lot lately..phew, so it’s not anything more than a gentle reminder that we shouldn’t ever make hasty assumptions. About people, birds, or even whether there is a tail or not.

Do you think a cake would be too much? It is kind of like when a kid has big-boy pants, you don’t want to freak him out too much…just let him know how proud you are right?
I think a cake would be ok – just like a subtle cake – he likes cake….and certainly deserves it … our widdle guapster monster… could just. pinch. his. cheeks.

Monsters, Inc! (Is it cool or sad that I knew the answer to that question BEFORE I read the responses?) It’s one of my most favorite kid movies, and I swear I watched it with a kid. The first time. 🙂 This bird video cracks me up, but certainly brought your Mental Moment on home. I love your Mental Moments!

thanks – we all need a mental moment – I was trying to think up a symbol – ya know like the Twix thing…the best I could do was Klonopin so – yea not for everyone..I’ll keep working on it 🙂

Lucky you for not having to deal with the time change! I have not fully adapted, even though I like the ‘extra’ hour of daylight. Was late to my appointment this morning. Should have it down by the end of the week.

I used to have the worst time Springing forward – cause I am always behind anyways so I just got behinder… that isn;t even a word is it? but falling forward…. wait a minute…. fall BACK i loved – cause i was on time!
I’m sure behinder is a word. I use it all the time… “the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get.” See, even used it in a sentence. It must be a real genuine word!

oh I have done that..I think that is why they do it on a sunday morning…. I mean God understands better than bosses…oh wait – you were early?? I think my sil did that no wait we donl’t turn our clocks at all here..but she was early..now I am wondering…oh no you were late…sorry I am confused…..

Any mental moment that includes feathers of any kind is my kind of mental moment! Especially the kind that come in feather pillows!

Some do. I do know that pillows should taste like marshmellows! Wouldn’t it be weird if birds tasted like marshmellows and pillows tasted like chicken? (Now there’s a sentence I don’t type everyday!)
that would be weird… but if they did..as a rule…then would we think it was weird – or just the way it is? I smell a conundrum…wonder if THAT tastes like chicken?
