The Importance of Spelling Mid-Afternoon Mental Moment

I was taught to make sure if I use a word, I know what it means and how to use it properly.  Which also means spelling it right.  I’m not a snob about it unless you aren’t on my good side and then the thing is….

Please do not state the obvious, thanks :)

Starts with H?

If someone tries to use a word that they don’t understand the proper meaning and use – well, they have just opened the door for being smacked down.  How bad depends on how much that person has irked me.  Rubber, glue… you know how it works right?

I’m not (too) proud of it but I own it, and freely admit it.  Don’t piss me off and then get cocky trying to use big words you don’t understand.  I will…  no probably or maybe or even having to try…SHAME you.  And laugh about it too.

Today’s mental moment is a good example of the importance of spelling.  Trying to deliver a zinger without the proper knowledge just ends up being funny…which works for me because…

I like funny better.  Enjoy  🙂

To your Mental State, whatever it may be…

Lizzie Cracked (not broken) and not a word snob unless I have to be….don’t force the issue  🙂

  1. I used to be a word snob, but now I only enforce it around my kids. I just don’t trust myself enough to use them correctly myself. On a side note: You know that game I mentioned playing on Friday? Would you be okay with playing Saturday instead? We might be able to get more people because it’s not a work day.

    • well – that’s one reason I reserve it for the kids and the people that irk me – and I mean IRK me not just annoy or – it takes a lot to get me pointing out stuff like that – or just ask and then I will critique freely lol…..
Yes that shouldn’t be a problem..Sat works for me. 🙂

  2. The perfect clip. I can be a word snob if I disagree with them and will then throw their blooper in their face. Not my finest moments but hey, I’m annoyed and there is little time for manners.
